Pleasant Ridge & Ferndale

Pleasant Ridge is a tiny community of historic homes about 3 miles north of Detroit, straddling the legendary Woodward Avenue.

Although “The Ridge” is almost mostly residential, we are immediately adjacent to Ferndale, Detroit’s lively, gay-friendly urban suburb to the north. Centered on the intersection of 9-Mile and Woodward, Ferndale has a fantastic collection of markets, restaurants, pubs and nightlife. We’ve highlighted some of our favorite places on the map.
